A gorgeous sprinkling of leaves Laurie, it looks as if Little Miss Watson appreciates their beauty too! 🤗💖🐈🍁 xxx
Thanks, Xenia!
All we get are a lot of dead (unpretty) pecan leaves clogging the pool–and most of the pecan trees are in neighbors’ yards. I do miss northern autumn (but NOT northern winter!).
Fall is our compensation for the long cold of winter. 😉
This is the time of year when my seasonal envy kicks in. I guess you can take the girl out of the midwest, but you can’t take a love of midwestern (and northeastern) autumn color out of the girl.
Autumn is a glorious time in northern New England, and we revel in it. We know what is coming next. 😉
Your usual excellent photography
Thanks, Derrick!
I loved seeing Watson outside, but my favorite was the close up of the stone with a sprinkling!
All arranged by Mother Nature and not the photographer. (Sometimes I do a bit of arranging.)
More to come with this pending storm… goodbye, beautiful foliage!
And the rain came down, down, down. So did the leaves, but there are still some on the trees. Will take a little walk this afternoon to see what’s what.
I have almost as many acorns as I do leaves. It’s a mast year for them I hear. 😦
Yes, indeed. A little annoying to clean up, but good for all the creatures who live in the forest.
Lovely! Autumn warms my soul. Cute kitty, too by the way.
Many thanks! She is a dear little cat, unlike her punky brother.
Now you need a brisk wind to clear them away for you.
Or a brisk rake. 😉
Lovely colours, excellent pictures.
Thanks, Susan!
Is that your cat? He is gorgeous.
Yes, that is our cat. Her name is Miss Watson. Her brother’s name is Sherlock. 😉
Love the pictures! 💕
Many thanks! A lovely time of year in Maine.
It’s a beautiful bridge time to the cold. Windy here tonight after the rain.
The wind and the rain blew up the coast to Maine and knocked out power in the southern part of the state. Central Maine seems to have escaped the worst. Yay!
I heard about 500,000 people being without power. The wind was something.
That storm did a lot of damage. Some people will be without power at least until Sunday.
It is bitter sweet to see the autumn leaves fall, I always have to remind myself that there are good parts about winter too, and, should I be complaining?? I’m not looking the long winters of your part of the world…
Your comment made me smile. It is bittersweet to see the autumn leaves fall. I was born and raised in Maine and have lived here most of my life. Winter is bred in my bones. However, I must admit that the older I get, the harder winter seems—the cold, the snow, and the ice underfoot. Still, winter has its beauty, too, especially the piercing quality of the light.
The patio photo looks as if there’s been a wedding and the guests have been throwing confetti – so pretty.
What a lovely way of putting it!
We’re getting more than a sprinkling of leaves right now! High winds and rain–that’ll be the end of the leaves!
We too had a storm with high winds. Still some leaves on the trees, but there are many more on the ground. Will go out for pictures later on this afternoon.
Lovely photos, especially Little Miss Watson and sunshine on the patio, and these last few days we have changed from a sprinkle to a downpour of leaves.🙂
Thanks so much!
love, love love! Every one a postcard! Happy Autumn!!
A-w-w-w, thanks so much!
Beautiful! Such colours and patterns!
Thanks, Clare!
