Oh, for a minute there in the small version of the photo on the wordpress reader, it looked like those green things were stalks of some sort, and I thought they seemed more like garden hoses. I see they are a trellis of sorts made of wood or plastic, and i can see the natural of it all through it. It fooled me for a minute!

I love seeing seed heads in the winter, but I think the birds like it more. 😉

They sure where! The photo was taken at Railroad Square Cinema in Waterville. They have a little permaculture garden beside the theater. Very cool!
Looks like the birds have picked them clean.
