All right. It’s the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere, which certainly includes Maine. And here is what it looked like this morning at the little house in the big woods.
Blog friends in warmer climes, eat your hearts out.
But somehow, despite the snow, I do have spring in my heart this morning.
Maybe it’s because of the weekend, where we had this
and this
and this.
Happy spring to all!
Yum yum!!! It looks fabulous! π
Wow! Way to go! XOXOXOXO

Congrats and happy spring from your s. CA friend…My wisteria, jasmine. peach tree, lilacs, etc are in full bloom. The air is sweet and full of birdsong. Snow is on the mt tops surrounding this valley but I will always be enchanted by my memories of beautiful maine! Thanks for giving me a peek of your days, insights, celebrations. It is so comforting to read your blog!!
Sounds lovely, Betsy. Makes me want to make a March trip to CA. And thanks so much for the kind words. During these hard times, we need all the comfort we can get.
Right back at you neighbor! Our place looks just like yours. π I sure hope you enjoyed that lobster and cake because it looks mighty delicious. π
Yup! They were pretty darned good.
Happy 40th anniversary, I would mind a piece of cake with my cuppa,
Cheers!
As my Yankee husband observed, that cake was pretty darned good.

That’s my idea of the perfect anniversary dinner, lobster and clams, oh my. This snow is slow to melt isn’t it? But the morning bird song feels like spring.
Oh, yes! We are surrounded by a sea of snow. But the increased day length and the bird songs give us hope.
