One lonely little squirrel! Where are the birds? My feeders have had almost no visitors since Christmas. I don’t know where all my bird friends have gone.😥
Same here, Gayle. Very few birds. Surprising. Must be a good winter for them to forage. I haven’t noticed any hawks or other birds of prey lurking. Have you?
I saw an eagle fly over a couple of weeks ago, but nothing else.
‘Tis a mystery. My blogging friend Eliza, who lives in Massachusetts, has also noted the lack of birds at her feeders.
How cute!
Aww, so sweet 💜 I love the winter sunlight in your images too Laurie! 🙂💖 xxx
Actually, it was the winter sunlight that drew me in and made me want to take a picture. The squirrel was a bonus.
I bet he loves having that bird feeder and gorgeous yard all to himself!🙂
I bet he does!
I hadn’t thought about it till I saw your photos, but I haven’t seen a squirrel in my area for quite a while. Maybe I just didn’t notice them. Or maybe they all moved to Maine!
Your winter snow with the sun shining is almost blinding.. The squirrel is cute! 👌
Thanks so much!
I’ve been enjoying the morning light as well, with the long blue shadows and sparkly snow.
Your silver birch looks like it is glowing gold!
Our feeders have been lightly attended as well. I hope the birds are okay and just visiting a neighbor.
On another note, I passed two large farm fields today that were filled with hundreds of robins! Could Phil be right and we’ll have an early spring?? 😉
It was the light that made me want to take the picture. The squirrel was a bonus. As for early spring…could be!
The second composition is particularly good
We had five squirrels at our feeders yesterday and few birds. It is concerning.
That is a good looking squirrel. Good pictures too.
