Sweet!
Clif heard that beauty singing and actually managed to get a picture of him without scaring him away.
A bird in the bush is worth having a camera in hand!
You bet!
You got it! Or Clif did. Either way this is a milestone you can now tick off 🙂
Yes, yes!
Beautiful photograph.
Thanks, Susan!
Hiding behind an oak leaf?
Yes, indeed!
Lucky you were able to get that picture!
Yes, indeed!
Beautiful!
Many thanks!
Those cardinals are so beautiful, Laurie and Clif! Glad you were able to photograph this striking male trying to hide.
Thanks, Lavinia!
Beautiful! He’s so red. 🙂
He certainly is lovely!
It isn’t easy to hide when you’re as red as that 🙂 Male cardinals always stand out in a crowd.
Well spotted
Thanks, Derrick. Actually heard the beautiful song first.
Can’t miss that shock of read. 🙂
Such a beauty!
Shock of “red.” Oops.
Fabulous capture and love how he’s peeking over the leaf! He’s definitely not making your photo shoots easy.
No, he is not. But we understand that he has to be careful out there.
It pays to have a camera on you, doesn’t it, Laurie?!
You bet! The camera is always at the ready.
I so envy you your cardinals! 🐦
Relatively new to Maine. They’ve only been here for twenty years or so. There were none in Maine when I was a child.
I didn’t know that. They have been spreading into eastern Colorado as well, but haven’t quite reached this far (yet).
Oh many! It took me a while to puzzle through this – I clearly saw the red, which I figured must be the bird, but I thought it might be ribbon. But upon closer inspection, finally got the Aha!
