Bittersweet that summer is winding down, but I won’t mind the cooler weather!
Yes, same!
Not only is this an excellent photograph of a beautiful lily, but a lingering symbol of the change of season. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the summer blooms in your garden.
Thanks so much, Anne!
Lovely. Soon autumn will be here once again.
Right around the corner.
🙂
Oh no not the end of the beautiful lily season. I’ve enjoyed seeing them.
Next summer!
Just beautiful.
Thanks so much!
Mine stopped quite a while ago, and it is always kind of sad. Like a friend going back home. See you next year though. 🙂
Yes, farewell, sweet friend.
The color is lovely. It’s hard for us to imagine summer leaving already. This is the time of year we most envy you northern folk!
As well you should. 😉 A most beautiful time of year in Maine, a time of apples, mums, and crickets singing. Even the pandemic can’t take these things away from us.
Well photographed
Pretty color and nice photo.
Many thanks!
A gorgeous daylily. I am hoping our reblooming daylilies will give us one more round before frost. The heat shut them down.
Thanks, Lavinia. Good luck with your daylilies.
No more lilies??? Say it isn’t so, Laurie! I’ve enjoyed peeking into your garden and, while lilies aren’t a particular fav of mine, I do enjoy photos of them. And this one’s stunning. What’s that color? Blush??
Right? Sniff. But it’s time for apples and mums, so all is not lost.
I bought a couple of mums just the other day. Now I’m waiting on fresh apples!
Bittersweet!
It surely is!
At least with a daylily you have a longer last to look forward to. Weather permitting.
Beautiful.
Thanks, Susan!
Beautiful Color!
Thanks, Jodie.
❤
Lovely color!
Many thanks!
Sigh. Too soon to be last of.
So true!
Such a lovely colour Laurie 🧡
Thanks so much!
A fine end to the lily season.
Bittersweet.
Beautiful!🙂
Thanks so much!
