About Yesterday

First the good news.

There was apple pie, in honor of pi(e) day.

And we didn’t lose our power. Hip, hip, hooray! Make that a double hip, hip hooray.

But, oh, how the snow came and the wind blew. Clif took a picture from inside as the blizzard was whipping full force. (You can see one brave, lone plow-truck in the road.)

We figure a foot and a half of snow fell. Our home now looks like a winter wonderland.

Spring is how many days away?

Not seventy-four. That’s our house number 😉 Actually, spring is only five days away. But with more snow slated for Saturday, it feels like seventy-four.

Ah, March!

    1. Yes, a lot of snow! Very good that we kept our power, and the apple pie, to quote my Yankee husband, was pretty darned good.

  1. Brrr brrr brrr!!! At least the snow was light and fluffy so clean up was not as bad as it could have been! Spring needs to get a move on! 😉

  2. It could have been worse, right? 🙂 I keep telling myself that the plants need the moisture. 😉 But I just wish it wouldn’t fall on the driveway, walks and deck!

  3. We had snow too, but nothing compared to your 18 inches. March and April are not my favorite months. I’m looking forward to May! On another topic entirely, I just finished reading Maya and the Book of Everything. What a surprising ending. I didn’t see it coming! I can’t wait for the next one in the series. I’ve ordered a copy for a friend for her birthday!

    1. Aw, thanks so much! What a great way to begin the day. So glad you that liked “Maya and the Book of Everything” and that you ordered the book for a friend for her birthday. I really appreciate the support.

  4. You were hit harder than we were. It’s hard to tell how much fell here, there was so much drifting. But I’d say we only had 10-12 inches. The wind, though. Oh, my. I’m happy to hear you didn’t lose power.
