    1. Thanks, Mary! A lucky shot. I was in the right place at the right time with the right light. And, I had my camera.

      1. All good shots are ‘lucky shots’ but it requires the photographer to recognise the opportunity and yes, the camera to be ready 🙂

      2. As Louis Pasteur put, chance only favors the prepared mind. Or something like that 😉

    1. As soon as the warm weather comes. For such a big cat—Sherlock weighs 17 pounds—he is amazingly light on his feet.

      1. Those coon cats are beauties! One of Maine’s finest contributions to the animal world, I think.

    1. I don’t know about that, Jason, but Sherlock is extremely friendly. But, as I noted in another comment, he has biting issues—he was a bottle-fed cat and was thus never socialized by his mother. We still love him, but we have to warn guests not to pat him as he rubs against their legs.

    1. Sherlock is friendly, but he is, as one friend put it, a naughty nipper. His mother died not long after he was born, and as is common when this happens, he has, ahem, biting issues. Not in a mean way, but still! Anyway, we still love him, we just have to warn guests not to pat him when he rubs against their legs 😉
