Oh my! I”m seeing a flurry or two here, I hope you’re not sending it to me!
I think it headed north from us. Did you get any amount?
A couple of flakes, that’s all!
There you go! I thought it was heading north.
We’re supposed to get slammed Saturday into Sunday! I guess March wants to go out like a lion.
Snow is in the forecast for us, too. We shall see.
You certainly understand your weather patterns! I remember a bit of “maybe yes, maybe no” only a few hours ago!
A temperamental time of year.
Oh, it’s so pretty! Still, having the Monk makes me appreciate NOT having snow right now — remember all those little snowballs a Sheltie collects on his legs?!?
I sure do remember! Love those Shelties. I still miss our Liam.
Wow!
Beautiful!
It really is! I am a sucker for a snowy afternoon. I find it so soothing.
Spring in Maine! Love it!
Right? A temperamental time of year.
…and out comes the trusty measuring stick…..
We shall see!
Wow! That’s amazing.
March in Maine!
wow!
We had snow flurries, rain, ice pellets, and it was a mess, but it didn’t stay long. Here’s to a good melt for you.
Still snow on the ground and this weekend, more is in the forecast. Winter is not quite over.
It looks beautiful Laurie! 🤍 xxx
It really was. Love a snowy afternoon.
Oh, my, you got a lot of snow. Poor man’s fertilizer. 😉 👍🏼
Yes, yes! And I do love a snowy afternoon.
Oh, wow! That looks beautiful! An inch an hour is a lot!
It certainly is. Although not too unusual for Maine.
Beautiful … and you didn’t wait long for its return. But where is the human snow measuring stick?
That happens on Sunday! Stay tuned.
Oh my goodness! Snow-gauge Clif is back in business!
It certainly looks that way.
This is amazing to me.
Life in Maine!
Though I have to admit I’m ready for spring, these are lovely. The snow-covered trees are beautiful.
They really are. And I find a snowy afternoon so soothing.
You knew farewell to Snow Gauge Clif would be premature.
I had that funny feeling.
It looks pretty but I hope it clears up soon. Our recent snowfall quickly melted, although it’s still not what you’d call warm by any means.
Still snow on the ground, and more is forecasted for the weekend. We shall see how much there is for Snow-Gauge Clif.
And a little more heading our way. Still no big deal, we’ve been spoiled! 😊
I am so happy that you are back posting! I have missed so with my patchy presence these past few months, but I have checked in several times to see whether you had returned.
Younger Child was just commenting on how March has zipped past us (bemoaning really, because it feels like her birthday month was really shortened this year).
With the world at large in upheaval and my own physical space tumultuous, I am so grateful for these few minutes when I can scroll through your posts to see what you’ve been up to.
P/S I can’t believe we are saying goodbye to Snow Gauge Clif for this season already!!!
P/S 2) and because of this new flurry, perhaps SGClif will return for another measurement?
He just might!
Many thanks! Although I needed the break, it feels good to be back. Yes, year of upheaval for a lot of us. Sigh.
Ah. Your prediction comes true. A ploy perhaps from Snow-gauge Clif and his fans?
And more to come this weekend, not the least the dreaded freezing rain.
Freezing rain sounds miserable. Ugh.
We didn’t get it! Yay!
Yay!
My guy calls it “the March/April surprise.” I just say “It’s Canada, after all.” But I know it’s Maine too. Our weather is often the very same.
“Good for the environment,” we keep saying. Mind you, an ice storm is projected for this evening and into the weekend. I sincerely hope it changes its mind. The last ice storm damaged many trees.
We have a another “March/April surprise” coming this weekend. Fingers crossed there are no power outages. Yes, our weather is very much the same.
The last gasp of winter. Looks pretty, but there are times when you can have too much pretty!
Winter again today. Snow-Gauge Clif just might make another appearance.
Way to go, Clif!
He might just be making an appearance very soon. 😉
It is beautiful, Laurie, but I am also hoping you do not get rough weather. We had a couple of days in the mid 70s, and are now back in the rainy and cool. Vegetation is quite confused!
Woke up to snow this morning. Freezing rain forecast for tomorrow. A confusing time of year for both plants and humans.
WOW! More snow!!? It is very pretty, even though I think you might want spring?
Being a Mainer, I am used to waiting for spring, which usually starts sometime in April. 😉
