Beautiful capture, Laurie. The contrasting background colors are perfect!
Thanks, Eliza. So lovely when that happens. Those asters are on the edge of our yard by the woods.
♥️♥️
Nothing better that the rich purple of fall asters!
One of my favorites!
Beautiful colours, Laurie!
Lovely, Laurie. ❤
Many thanks! Love those fall flowers.
Such a lovely image Laurie of these beautiful asters 💜 xxx
In Maine, it has been quite a year for asters. So beautiful!
I love asters! I keep trying to grow them in my perennial garden to no avail. I guess I will have to just enjoy them other places where they seem to grow!
Those are growing on the edge of the yard by the woods. I didn’t plant them, but I sure hope they spread.
Lovely colour.
Thanks so much. How I love to see them each fall.
We even have asters here! Can you believe it, the same fall flowers in Texas as in Maine! (However, it is, at this moment 92F. Can’t wait for the next “cool” front, while we are also planning a beach trip for next month! The Gulf stays warm, and fall is the best time to visit Gulf of Mexico beaches. Less crowded, less hot….)
Nice! Fun to think of how we both have asters even though we live so far apart. Your beach trip sounds wonderful.
Lovely flowers, great photo.
Many thanks!
Hi, Laurie – Your photography continues to be amazing. So beautiful!
Thanks so very much!
So bright and pretty.
One of my favorites!
They’re so beautiful — a perfect combination of purple and gold. I’m accustomed to smaller asters, but I’ve seen a few like this in east Texas, and admired them as much as I admire yours!
They are beautiful fall flowers. And this year has been a very good one for asters.
What a beautiful burst of colour before winter settles in.
I think that’s one of the reasons why I love them so much.
They certainly are
So welcome in autumn.
They re definitelty a little stars of autumn! Beautiful.
They certainly are!
The asters are beautiful, Laurie. I remember wild asters from New England. In late summer I would see them start to bloom and know autumn was just around the corner.
I never realsied these were called asters. Since childhood I thought they were called micklemas daisies. I’ve learned something tonight!
Different names for the same beautiful flower.
Yeah! mines have started to bloom.
So lovely!
