Hummer heaven! 🙂
What sweet beauties Laurie! 🧡 xxx
Beauty is to be found almost everywhere. Hi Laurie. Have a fine day!
Such a pretty little vine! Did you plant it, Laurie, or is it one of the birds’ contributions?
Like a finely decorated bit of September’s embroidery.
Lovely!
Pretty little jewels.
Beautiful photograph! So lovely!
Jewel weed is a beautiful plant! Do the deer not gobble it up?
Jewel weed is a beautiful plant!
I was going to ask what it was called 🙂
We have these blooming now too! 🙂
I don’t think we have this. It looks lovely but the name troubles me. 🙂
So much beauty to capture in September!!🙂
Such a beautiful time of year!
Your woods are a perfect setting for these jewels!
Jewel weed loves being by the edge of the woods.
I’m not familiar with this plant, and had to do some research. I think we’re talking about Jewelweed, aka Touch-Me-Not, medicinal uses and hummingbird-friendly? Fascinating stuff.
Yes, jewel weed. And hummingbirds absolutely love it. It self seeds by the edge of the woods.
I love the way the seedpods pop and fling their seeds. I have also used jewel weed to treat poison ivy.
Never heard that jewel weed can be used to treat poison ivy. What a remarkable plant!
I remember orange jewelweed fondly. I grew up on the edge of a swamp, and there was a lot of it growing on the border between swamp and yard where it sloped down to the swamp. It does indeed work on poison ivy.
Such a sweet little flower. The hummingbirds love it.
