This is a beautiful photograph!
Thanks, Anne. The first acorn of many to come.
What Anne said. The photo is a work of art.
A-w-w-w, thanks so much! Might make a nice card.
A very beautiful sign!
Fall is coming!
Indeed!
Happily, a very small sign!
Just the beginning. 😉
Yes, autumn is creeping up on us. I’ve already noticed a chill to the evening air.
A little chill here, too! Love it.
Well, I for one am eager for Fall’s arrival, and this photo clearly shows how one season is ending and another is trying to get here. Well captured, Laurie!
Thanks, Debbie. Take heart! Fall is coming.
Sweet vignette!
Aww and what a lovely sweet sign it is too! 🧡
Yes, yes! Thanks so much.
around here it looks like a bumper crop of acorns.
I’m not sure how it will be here this year.
A potential great oak. Did you plant it?
Such a lovely photo!!🙂 It’s been wonderful to have it feel like fall this week before a heat wave arrives again this weekend.
Thanks! I wonder if we will get the heatwave here. Well, fall really is just around the corner.
…and I am delighting in signs of spring…
Fun to think of how opposite it is for you. Spring, glorious spring!
First the acorns and then the leaves — there’s a reason we call it “fall”! I’m especially taken with this bi-colored acorn; it’s lovely.
Yes, indeed! The acorn is young. Not sure why it fell from the tree. Maybe some creature helped it along.
There’s a distinct nip in the air over here in the UK this week. Autumn is creeping in…
One of my favorite times of year.
It is feeling quite autumnal here too. And we haven’t had much summer yet 😦
It’s always hard to go into autumn when there hasn’t been much of a summer. That happened to us last year. This summer has been warmer, sometimes uncomfortably so,and with just the right amount of rain. Everything green and growing is thriving.
Weeds are thriving in my garden but the things I planted are struggling. Hey Ho there is always next year.
Oh, dear! Here’s to next year.
Your capture & caption are artistry! So lovely.
Thanks so much for the kind words. I’m thinking that one might make a good photo card.
Yes! I still have the photo card of the wintry bridge you sent many years ago!
Oh, nice!
Lovely work. Autumn’s in the air.
Many thanks! Autumn is coming…
The first acorn of the season to come. That is a beautiful composition, Laurie!
Thanks so much! I am thinking of using it for a photo card.
Autumn is definitely on its way in our area as well. Summer weather for us seemed much shorter this year. I am not sure if this is factual or just that I really love summer the best! ❤
It seems that the seasons we love tend to go by so fast.
Yes! I love the companionship (and juxtaposition) of summer begonia and fall acorn. Transitions are indeed magical. Thank you for a glimpse of what’s to come!
I love transitions, too. Fun to record the changes on my one acre.
