13. Very fun post! All wonderful birds and whimsical surprise at the end. I live where it is getting hotter and drier…dream of retiring and having another life living near a lake or river!

    1. Thanks, Betsy! Come to central Maine. It is hot in the summer—I won’t deny it—but there is water everywhere.

15. That last shot is a great capture! Of course, the genus is not rare, but I’ve never seen that particular species! Beautiful plumage – reminds me of the Norwegian blue parrot.
